"Yes We Will (Have A Depression)" By Karl Denninger
"The mainstream media is finally starting to figure it out.
It only took nearly a year and a half from when I started to sound the alarm before the evidence became incontrovertible and the media began to wake up: over a million jobs were lost, the market is down 40% (with a target of down 90% - halfway there on the road to h***!) and unemployment is in the process of skyrocketing.
Did Congress object to funneling off yet more of your money to the banks where they could (and are) stashing those funds with The Fed instead of lending them out? Oh, Chris Dodd and Barney Frank have made much noise about the Tarp, but have either of them made noise about rescinding the ability of The Fed to pay interest on reserves?

First, I am a pediatric ER/trauma nurse. Ask me anything about a sick or injured child and I will be able to give you an educated and experienced answer. As far as economics go, I have no formal education. I can only go but what I see, what feels right and what seems logical.
My roommate rents a townhouse for $1,100/month and I pay half of that. She has ~$2,000 in credit debt. Her car is paid off. Other than that she basically pays half the utilities. That is it. Last year she grossed ~$90,000. This year she will gross ~$110,000.

Proposition K Legalize Prostitution
Choice Votes %
Yes 89,833 42.4%
No 121,815 57.6%
Was legalizing prostitution really on the ballot Sucks it didn’t pass.
It was kind of a stupid measure, but a small step in the right direction.
It would have basically given a lot of power to pimps and the bad things that go along with prostitution (STD’s being the major one) - without allowing it to become a regulated industry with safety standards and profits for the state.

Remember that the conservatives may still have the last laugh if Obama turns out to be an utter fuckup.
But we won’t rub it in people’s faces.
I more pity people who think that a politician with a D in front is way better than one with an R.
My only hope is people will realize both suck
I refuse to stop the lols for what may or may not happen in a few years.
Not very likely the country can get much worse than it will be in these last few weeks of Bush.

the hypocrite who’s against windmill farms because they’d destroy his view…AWESOME!
Anything is better than stacking the EPA with a bunch of fucking industry lobbyists the way Bush did. That is like hiring convicted sex offenders to work at a day care.

Also, depsite the rest of the network being full of fail, Shep has a pretty solid program over there.
yurp, all they need is the black armbands and wreaths …..
One of the cable news stations showed a video of Jesse Jackson weeping.
He’s sad because his income depends on the perceived hate of black people. He could care less about that "nigger" Obama, as he so passionately refers to him as.

If BH lost, the pictures would be more like this:
Actually, even though he did win.. it was pretty close to that last night. Numerous gun shots in the hood last night.

I’m seeing a lot of posts lately from both sides that are really overestimating Obama’s power in this country (in my opinion).
The gist of the whole situation is that the supporters think Obama is essentially the 2nd coming of Christ and that he will fix everything wrong with this country…and the haters think he will singlehandedly destroy it.
Any people in the middle?
I’d like to know who has posted that Obama is the 2nd coming of Christ with the power to turn the country (nay… world!) into a utopia….

NEWSWEEK has also learned that Palin’s shopping spree at high-end department stores was more extensive than previously reported. While publicly supporting Palin, McCain’s top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy. One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family—clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill. Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. Continue reading…
