Posted by bruni on January 21, 2009

Word is Obama will not be repealing the Bush Tax cuts for the wealthy. Who says empty class warfare rhetoric doesn’t win elections?

What do Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Rightwing bloggers and Al Qaeda have in common?

Posted by bruni on January 21, 2009

they all say that the media is in the tank for Obama…

Global reactions to Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri’s controversial condemnation of U.S. President-Elect Barack Obama as a "House Slave" (or, alternatively, "House Negro") have begun to pour in — including via the top jihad web forums used by Al-Qaida to disseminate its propaganda. After observing international press reporting on the incident, these same supporters are now bitterly attacking the media for its "unfair" pro-Obama bias and for deliberately "confusing" the meaning of al-Zawahiri’s message.

Isn’t Peter Schiff saying the same thing?

Scary, but interesting. Thoughts?
That shit is in Russian, how am I supposed to read it?
Sounds like crazy talk.

and this is kinda weird.

He predicted that the U.S. will break up into six parts - the Pacific coast, with its growing Chinese population; the South, with its Hispanics; Texas, where independence movements are on the rise; the Atlantic coast, with its distinct and separate mentality; five of the poorer central states with their large Native American populations; and the northern states, where the influence from Canada is strong.

Posted by bruni on January 18, 2009

  • religious issues (like abortion, stem cells, homosexuality, euthanasia, death penalty, evolution, separation of church and state, school prayer, intelligent design, creationism, public displays, Christmas, etc.)
  • tolerance issues (like racism, sexism, class, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, human rights, torture, genocide, etc.)
  • gun issues
  • tax issues (like socialism, communism, spending policies, social programs, entitlements, medicare, public works, regulations, healthcare, social security, wealth redistribution, deficit, debt, bailouts, fiscal conservatism, etc.)

Those three kind of issues seem to rule the debates in America right now, and have for a long time, pushing other important debates to the sidelines.
