What do Hillary Clinton, John McCain, Rightwing bloggers and Al Qaeda have in common?

they all say that the media is in the tank for Obama…

Global reactions to Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri’s controversial condemnation of U.S. President-Elect Barack Obama as a "House Slave" (or, alternatively, "House Negro") have begun to pour in — including via the top jihad web forums used by Al-Qaida to disseminate its propaganda. Though hardcore Al-Qaida supporters have predictably dismissed any criticism of Dr. al-Zawahiri and are fiercely backing his choice of words, there is a rather ironic (if not entirely unfamiliar) twist to this issue. After observing international press reporting on the incident, these same supporters are now bitterly attacking the media for its "unfair" pro-Obama bias and for deliberately "confusing" the meaning of al-Zawahiri’s message.

If we ever got past abortion, gay marriage, etc.

Posted by bruni on January 18, 2009

Let’s say the people found a compromise and got over their:

  • religious issues (like abortion, stem cells, homosexuality, euthanasia, death penalty, evolution, separation of church and state, school prayer, intelligent design, creationism, public displays, Christmas, etc.)
  • tolerance issues (like racism, sexism, class, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, human rights, torture, genocide, etc.)
  • gun issues
  • tax issues (like socialism, communism, spending policies, social programs, entitlements, medicare, public works, regulations, healthcare, social security, wealth redistribution, deficit, debt, bailouts, fiscal conservatism, etc.)

Those three kind of issues seem to rule the debates in America right now, and have for a long time, pushing other important debates to the sidelines.

people under the age of say…35, would you honestly be upset…

If the government told you that from now on, you will no longer be responsible for contributing to social security, however, you will recieve no social security benefits when you retire.

I, personally, would welcome this idea. I dont want the government’s pennies, and freeing up the obligation of paying SS to people under 35 (when they retire) would alleviate a good chunk of the US debt burden. Not to mention the money saved from paying the government would be going straight into my 401k and ultimately yield much more in the long term.

Posted by bruni on December 26, 2008

Like Clinton’s staff removed the W from all White House keyboards when George Bush took over.

The W thing? Yes.
