i mean no disrespect to that soldier or anyone in the armed forces, but what he said is bullshit. all he is saying is that the ends justifies the means. if we give our government that freedom to BS everyone into going along with a bad plan and then coming up with some justification at the end to explain it, then we are in for some serious problems.
this is also the typical bullshit that the republican party fed us for years after 9/11. follow exactly what the gov’t tells you or you are unAmerican. just because the Iraq war was a mistake doesn’t make what the troops have accomplished any less meaningful. i’m sorry that they were put in a bad situation by a lying president and his cronies, but they’ve done a lot of good once they were put there. they just should never have been deployed to Iraq in the first place. hell, we never fucking finished Afghanistan anyway. |
