I am comparing McCain to Obama, there is no approval ratings by the CAGW for governors.
I don’t think anyone disputes McCain’s War Against the "corruption" that he sees with earmarks. He was winning that claim hands down on his own.
However, the fact that he extends this pork-fighting rhetoric even now to the record of his VP pick makes the claim farcical. She’s requested more pork for her population than any other state in the Union.

Except Obama wants to cut a $150 Billion per year piece of pork out of the budget, so I think that trumps McCain.
Net swing of $300 Billion?!? for the tax payers!

McCain is still the candidate for president. The problem is that you have been sucked into the political posturing and can no long separate you own disdain to make a discussion on a relative issue regarding the actual candidates. Good job on that.

I have discussed it with Karnejj is several other threads. The topic is presidential candidate vs. presidential candidate. If you have an issue or want to make a different inference about the political posturing of either party, you may feel free to make a many threads about it as you feel fit.

Earmarks are something like less than one percent of the federal budget, and there was an article saying McCain would only eliminate a small percentage of them.
