And having a woman on the ticket, when the Presidential nominee is likely going to die of old age while in office, would be a huge drawback for most conservative voters. Conservatives believe that white men are Presidential material. I think it would alienate a lot of conservative voters even more.

I was at the opening gala of the texas heart institute, just kind of milling around like all the other rifraff. We saw a shuffle, the cameras moved around and the security redeployed. So of course we kind of stepped back and stuff. What I didn’t realize is that she was walking right behind me, and I bumped into her. If one of her guards/entourage hadn’t pushed me back, I’d have knocked her down the huge marble grand staircase and over the rail. Of course this was for the national news cameras.

Her strong record as a conservative, female politician from the could induce the GOP to add her name to the ticket in an effort to balance any perceived between the parties, particularly if were to get the Democratic nomination for the Vice-Presidency in 2008. In February 2008, on , Hutchison said “I think that Sen. McCain has a lot of options, I think he has to look at a lot of different factors. I don’t want to be vice president."
