the McCain camp purposely threw the story out there the day that Americans began dying from another hurricane in the gulf. What better cover? I just hope that the media brings this shit out into the open again once the storm issues are resolved, because we’re voting on who will be the most powerful person in the world, and if they knowingly try to cover his running-mate’s shortcomings by using a natural disaster as cover, who knows what else they might be hiding?

I think it was just bad timing. At first I was thinking the same thing as OP but now after thinking about it and seeing all these bullshit rumors on how downsy was really her daughter’s kid I can see why they had to come out with it now.
Yeah, but come out with it later. Nothing is going to hurt her until they confront it anyway. It’s just internet speculation. If she didn’t say anything EVER, then maybe, but it wouldn’t have come to anything. If anything, showing the conservatives in the open that you can man up and admit it in s te ad of trying to slide it in while no one is looking, that just shows cowardice.

I mean of course I’m going to call attention to the situation, but it’s just so curious that they’ve known this all along and only decide to put the info out there the morning of the hurricane’s landing. It isn’t the most important issue in the least right now, but America has the right to know even if they don’t care.
It would have come to something, and before the election. Like, noticing that her daughter is pregnant. Nothing like confessing when you can’t squirm out of it.

oh please… chelsea was treated with kid gloves compared to how jimmy carter’s daughter Amy when she was a kid..was treat by the media in general..notable comedians and SNL and other comedy type shows would dedicate whole segments on talking about how ugly she was (this is a gawky 13 year old being skewered in the media btw) in fact it was that kind of shit that caused the media to back off on the kids now..

Replacing a rumor of a daughter getting pregnant at 16 with the truth of her getting pregnant at 17, isn’t exactly a "trump card."

That is an oversimplification of the story. The real scandal was the assertion that Sarah faked a pregnancy and passed her daughter’s baby off as her own.
the thing that upsets me about it is that sarah palin still thinks it’s smart to only allow abstinence-only sex education in alaskan schools, when she can’t even make it work in her own family.
