ACORN

Utah’s congressional delegation is calling President Obama’s decision to move the U.S. census into the White House a purely partisan move and potentially dangerous to congressional redistricting around the country. |

Pretty much how I saw that.
now why would the white house want to be able to re-assign Congressional districts and control the number of Representatives from certain areas, hummmmmmmmmm can’t imagine
(queue Imperial March)
I wish I had a theme song that played whenever I entered a room/went outside…
I’d definitely choose that one. Shit would be bad ass.
The White House(Obama, Cabinet, ACORN) will now have access to every single voters information in the US
and the problem is?
so why are you afraid of this? Shit, the Bush Administration had all our communications information at their fingertips and your worried about voter information??!
wow…its sad that you guys are this clueless. Besides the obvious power and control they now have with this move, Obama promised ACORN they would be a part of his Presidency within 100 days. Here:

God damn! You are so right! The Republicans never, ever tried to do that.
Look at the shit im finding on this site

The “Shadow Party” is a term originally devised by journalists to describe 527 political committees promoting Democratic Party agendas. It is here used more specifically to refer to the network of non-profit activist groups organized by and others to mobilize resources – money, get-out-the-vote drives, campaign advertising and policy iniatives – to elect Democratic candidates and guide the Democratic Party towards the left. |

You do know ACORN is charged with voter fraud in 04 and 08 but has yet to receive any trial or punishment right?
I do, but I don’t think its systemic so much as rouge members doing their own thing.
Word!
voter fraud or voter registration fraud? There’s kind of a difference…and it’s a big one.
So is anyone claiming that acorn doesnt have an agenda in this thread yet?
Both
Of course ACORN doesn’t have an agenda. When they wake up in the morning they get their coffee and stare at the wall for 8 hours a day. This is the minimum amount of work needed to collect their monthly welfare-bama check

"It takes something that is supposedly apolitical like the census, and gives it to a guy who is infamously political," Bishop said of Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, who would be tasked with overseeing the census at the White House. |
They put an Israeli/American in charge of it.

He is an American. A US citizen born in the US, working in the US, for the US can’t possibly be any more American. Are you confusing him with someone else or what is your deal?
Of course they have an agenda, is that to commit vote fraud? Probably not on the scale the right wingers are trying to make it.
Then whats your view of them? What do these 400,000 community "activists" do all day? Have you seen the video of them walking the streets of Chicago and NYC picking up bums telling them to vote for Obama and then taking them to polling places? Open your eyes for crying out loud
Obama Stimulus bill just passed and it has billion of dollars going to ACORN
ACORN registered Dallas Cowboys to vote in Nevada!
During the last election, ACORN was being investigated by the FBI and state prosecutors for fraudulent voter registration practices in . The entire starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys, for example, was registered to vote in Nevada, while 19-year-old Freddie Johnson of Cleveland was bribed 72 times in an 18-month period to fill out separate voter registration cards – on which he wrote the same information. “Sometimes, they come up and bribe me with a cigarette, or they’ll give me a dollar to sign up. The ACORN people are everywhere, looking to sign people up. I tell them I am already registered. The girl said, ‘You are?’ I say, ‘Yup,’ and then they say, ‘Can you just sign up again?’ "
Heres 14 states bringing charges against ACORN
|
LAS VEGAS — Nevada authorities seized records Tuesday from a group they accused of submitting fraudulent voter-registration forms — including for the starting lineup of the Dallas Cowboys. |
Do I need to go on?
Wake the fuck up people. From the horses mouth:

ACORN Voter Registration Fraud
Fraud Allegations in Ohio, Washington, Nevada, and Connecticut
|
Cleveland, Ohio: ACORN told the Cleveland Plain Dealer that it could not eliminate fraud from its operation. The Cuyahoga County Election Board started investigating the 65,000 voter registration cards this past August. They flagged fifty voter registration cards for having the same names on them. Election officials also state that they cannot verify all the voter registration cards before the election. Cleveland has more problems than just ACORN. According the Post, the pro-Obama group called Vote Today was at soup kitchens and homeless shelters picking up people to register to and to on the same day. They reported that the group picked up 59 year old William Woods at the Bishop Cosgrove Center, which is a local soup kitchen. Mr. Woods claimed that he never voted before because he was convicted of a felony. He added that without this service he would have had no way to vote |
|
Connecticut: In April, journalism students from the University of Connecticut discovered that 8,500 deceased Connecticut residents were still registered to vote. The Hartford Courant reports that about 300 of them have indeed voted. |
|
Nevada: Agents from the Nevada Secretary of State and Attorney Gerneral’s office raided ACORN’s Clark County office. The agents were looking for 59 felons that were hired by ACORN and apparently submitted nearly 300 fraudulent voter registration cards. Some of the fraudulent cards included the names of the Dallas Cowboy’s football team. A former employee of ACORN admitted to making up fraudulent cards when the summer heat in made it too hot to work outside. ACORN expects its employees to complete twenty voter registration forms per shift or the employee risks probation or termination. The agents removed twenty boxes of documents and eight computer hard drives from the ACORN office. In response to the raid the southwest regional director of ACORN, Matthew Henderson, stated, "The raid was a stunt designed perhaps to make them look tough on voter fraud. We don’t think fraud is a rampant problem." He then added, "This was a politically motivated stunt, that is all there is to it because those new voters can reshape the electorate of Nevada." Both the Attorney General and the Secretary of State in Nevada are democrats. |
|
Washington: The state of Washington’s voter registration fraud started in 2006. Apparently, ACORN submitted over 1,800 voter registration forms. Only six out of the 1,800 were authentic. ACORN workers told state investigators how they made up names, addresses, and social security numbers. Five ACORN workers plead guilty and served jail time for the forgeries. Despite this the head of ACORN’s Washington office, John Jones, insists that "It was a difficult time but you know what, that was the exception and not the rule. The exception was that something did not go right" Jones denied that the organization was responsible. This is the reason that King County Prosecutor Dan Satterberg wants voters to show a photo I. D. when going to the polls. The Washington state legislature sided with ACORN and turned down the idea. |
Now imagine 400,000 of these people all doing this. Starting to see where im going with this? Damn I hope so

Choose wisely theres lots of them that all say billions going to ACORN in this bill
Quick, everyone take one example and extrapolate it over the entire group! Pat Buchanan hates the Jews, therefore all republicans hate the Jews!

And if you bothered to read past the conservative propaganda, you’d see that there is actually — it’s money for states and cities to disburse trhough their own services or to contract with ANY non-profit organization.
But …. of course it’d be unsurprising to find out that you’re really more interested in parroting the propaganda, than in spreading any understanding.
I don’t see this as a huge deal…yet.
But if Bush had done this, the non-Repubs here would be raising Hell. I saw a lot of bitching here about smaller things.
Oh, a handful? Congratulations, you have a handful of volunteers in a massive organization who allegedly committed voter registration fraud. Let’s ignore the fact that ACORN worked WITH the authorities in finding and flagging the fraudulent registrations because BY LAW they are REQUIRED to turn them in whether or not the suspect they are fraudulent. Don’t be such a fucking moron. Also, you cite some great sources like "stop the aclu" that sounds like an extremely unbiased website.
|
And if you bothered to read past the conservative propaganda, you’d see that there is not actually a single dime allocated to ACORN.
It’s money for states and cities to disburse to use or contract with ANY non-profit organization. |
Didn’t you hear, the only non profit organization now currently allowed in the United States of Obama is ACORN.
I swear, I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the right wing retards on this forum are paid to spread this sort of nonsense propaganda to make it seem like more people hold these absurd positions than actually do.
This propaganda tactic of guilt-by-association-by-six-degrees-of-separation pushed by the dittoheads is absurd.
In response to that vid posted by you Jamie Kennedy, so exactly what are the banks now being sued for by these people? What is the outcome expected?
Pretty sure no one forced them to sign a mortgage contract.
|
This conservative tactic of guilt-by-association-by-six-degrees-of-separation horseshit is absurd. |
Yep, and the American people are finally wising up and realizing how fucking retarded it actually is. It’s the death throws of the republican party, they’re throwing whatever shit they can scrape out of their colons and praying any of it will stick.

My view is that they’re a group of 400,000 political activists that help organize political events for the democratic party. Do some of them do illegal things, probably, does that mean the entire group does these things, probably not.
am i the only one thinking this might have something to do with 2012 and the greys?
You’re pretty fucking stupid you know that?
step one to creating totalitarian society.
expand party influence and limit ability of all dissent.
do I think he will do significant realignment of districts? no
does the prospect of that power being in his hands worry me? FUCK YES!
