A 35 year old is the best we can tap to run the bailout? WTF

Posted by bruni on October 23, 2008

I don’t care if he was a VP of a division at Goldman Sachs, was there really noone more qualified than him? Looks like typical cronyism of the Bush administration, Paulson picked him because he was his drinking buddy at Goldman.
you’re the one who wants this bullshit bailout so badly, what did you expect was going to happen moron?

Barack O-Balla. Obama playin ball - Repost?

Posted by bruni on October 09, 2008

search is kind of useless when searching for Obama and basketball
but what a fucking

Just because he’s black and can play an urban sport very well does not make him a good president.

McCain has much more useful attributes to him that will make him a much better leader like being a war hero.

Time is Running Out (email from Ron Paul)

Dear Friends,

Whenever a Great Bipartisan Consensus is announced, and a compliant media assures everyone that the wondrous actions of our wise leaders are being taken for our own good, you can know with absolute certainty that disaster is about to strike.

The events of the past week are no exception.

The bailout package that is about to be rammed down Congress’ throat is not just economically foolish. It is downright sinister. It makes a mockery of our Constitution, which our leaders should never again bother pretending is still in effect. It promises the American people a never-ending nightmare of ever-greater debt liabilities they will have to shoulder. Two weeks ago, financial analyst Jim Rogers said the bailout of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac made America more communist than China! "This is welfare for the rich," he said. "This is socialism for the rich. It’s bailing out the financiers, the banks, the Wall Streeters."

Asked whether the debate could go forward if McCain doesn’t show, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs replied, "My sense is there’s going to be a stage, a moderator, an audience and at least one presidential candidate."

Conservatives/Libertarians of OT: How do you feel about tort reform.

Posted by bruni on October 08, 2008

and why?

I feel it’s an unconstitutional encroachment on the judicial branch by the legislative.

Go.
while i do believe that sometimes tort cases become ridiculous in terms of compensation and damages, any type of reform or control should be exclusively done by the judicial branch and them alone.

oh and btw im not a conservative and only agree with certain libertarian things.

Let’s Apply Some Logic

Posted by bruni on October 06, 2008

Currently, my television is repeatedly sending me the message that "we must act quickly" on the bailout package to avoid "dire consequences."

If it is true that we have come to a "point of no return" where swift action is required immediately, why didn’t these very smart people who are now FULLY AWARE of the crisis facing America notice it sooner and make the general public aware of the impending crisis?

Logic would indicate to me that this plan is being rushed through as quickly as possible in order to avoid Congress making changes to the plan.
