I think Bernanke, Paulsen, and others should be investigated

Posted by bruni on October 15, 2008

For gross negligence, or fraud, or both.

Until quite recently both were yammering about how the economy was fine, there was no real crisis, etc.

Now, suddenly Bernanke fesses up to congress that unless the bailout passes, things are going to get very bad, and the US faces a dramatic crises.

If they didn’t see this coming, given their responsibilities and position, I think this is negligent on their part.

But I believe it’s more likely that they knew, and pretended otherwise. Whatever their excuse, that’s fraud, and they should be held responsible.

Obama is a very funny man….

Asked whether the debate could go forward if McCain doesn’t show, Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs replied, "My sense is there’s going to be a stage, a moderator, an audience and at least one presidential candidate."

Let’s Apply Some Logic

Posted by bruni on October 06, 2008

Currently, my television is repeatedly sending me the message that "we must act quickly" on the bailout package to avoid "dire consequences."

If it is true that we have come to a "point of no return" where swift action is required immediately, why didn’t these very smart people who are now FULLY AWARE of the crisis facing America notice it sooner and make the general public aware of the impending crisis?

Logic would indicate to me that this plan is being rushed through as quickly as possible in order to avoid Congress making changes to the plan.

As much as I dislike McCain, Obama is just going to turn us into a welfare state to w

hich there is no return. Future generations are going to get lazier and lazier. More and more will live off the government and expect them to be the answer to everything. You will have more poor popping out babies creating more idiots. Society will become less responsible for themselves. Barak has said that college is a right for all Americans. Do you really want a college degree to mean nothing? To lower standards and go into more unnecessary debt with little to no return? There are going to be more and more living off the productivity of a few and that few will become less and less. Fuck Obama and fuck McCain.

Obama is not a muslim. The real story is much more sinister.

Posted by bruni on September 02, 2008

An intrepid reporter snuck a concealable camera inside a no-camera zone during Obama’s visit to Israel and caught some unguarded moments, when Obama thought no one was watching and he could show his true self..

Of course it’s not surprising that a socialist with no substance beyond demagoguery and appeal to the lowest form of the unwashed masses (minorities) would be a crypto-zionist, but it’s still amazing to see the lizard without its concealing skin.

Obama’s ‘emergency’ economic plan

By:
August 1, 2008 10:53 AM EST

Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) on Friday announced an “Emergency Economic Plan” that would give families a stimulus check of $1,000 each, funded in part by what his presidential campaign calls “windfall profits from Big Oil.”

Conservatives keep claiming that Obama will ruin the economy…

Posted by bruni on August 20, 2008

…yet when you point to Clinton’s success, they’re quick to remind you that the president can’t directly influence the economy, it’s highly cyclical, and he rode a tech boom.

If the first two are accurate, then Obama can’t “ruin” the economy. If he can, then clearly Obama has the opportunity to be just as successful.

Which story do you guys want to stick to…?

What is required to stop climate change

Posted by bruni on August 15, 2008

Will economic growth and the current way of life need to be sacrificed to stop co2 being emitted? I can’t see how the entire global energy system we have can be replaced before 2030-2050 without at least having a great depression or 2.
economic growth is required to combat the occasional negative effects of our changing climate
If business embraces clean technology and uses it as a means of boosting advancements in the same area.

We have been developing the internal combustion engine for over 100 years. We need to start the same process with new clean technology. This same thing can be applied to numerous forms of business.
