For gross negligence, or fraud, or both.
Until quite recently both were yammering about how the economy was fine, there was no real crisis, etc.
Now, suddenly Bernanke fesses up to congress that unless the bailout passes, things are going to get very bad, and the US faces a dramatic crises.
If they didn’t see this coming, given their responsibilities and position, I think this is negligent on their part.
But I believe it’s more likely that they knew, and pretended otherwise. Whatever their excuse, that’s fraud, and they should be held responsible.

Then again, we’re Americans so our opinion doesn’t matter.
I personally don’t care, just another ‘drivers license’.
I support it, if it’s opt in, which it’s not, so I don’t. really
thats a very dim view to take

Agent Held at Gunpoint by Mexican Military
8-3-08 A Tucson Sector Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint by the Mexican military last night south of Ajo. Mexican military personnel crossed over the border and pointed rifles at him. Backup units arrived from the Ajo Border Patrol station, and the Mexican military personnel eventually returned to Mexico. Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years. They are never held accountable, and the United States government will undoubtedly brush this off as another case of "Oh well, they didn’t know they were in the United States." A few years ago the Mexican military went a step further and put a .50 calibre rifle round through the rear window of a Border Patrol agent’s patrol vehicle south of Ajo. Nothing was ever done. Nobody was ever held accountable. Particularly galling is the fact that the Mexican military often pulls these stunts in Humvees donated to them by the American taxpayers (although they were apparently on foot this time). We note that Border Patrol agents have historically driven worn-out, junk vehicles.

Dr. Bruce Ivins is dead, the sole suspect of the 2001 anthrax attacks. If you remember, the letters sent were clearly meant to stew fear and panic after 9/11, and were written like it was an islamic terrorist (death to america, death to israel)
The evidence? A sample of liquid anthrax he had in his home - funny place to keep this kind of stuff - still not the crystalized, weaponized anthrax sent in the mail, the production of which required advanced equipment. Suspicious activity (working long hours), envelopes used in the attacks traced to a store near where he lived. And of course, their key point: testimony that he was deeply deranged, with murderous impulses, a fact that suddenly only came out after his death, after he’d been a lead US biochemical weapons researcher for 35 years.
