Obama’s tax plan at it’s core is about "Neighborliness"

Posted by bruni on September 26, 2008

"If I am sitting pretty, and you’ve got a waitress who is making minimum wage plus tips, and I can afford it and she can’t — what’s the big deal for me to say, ‘I’m going to pay a little bit more.’ That is neighborliness."

Is this guy for real, is his tax policy straight out of the communist manifesto?

"From each according to their ability, to each according to their needs"

What would life be like in an ObamaNation? There’s the government sitting there watching you – watching you work – watching you go the extra mile. The government takes note of the fact that you pursued an advanced education. Then the government observes you working 50, 60 maybe 80 hours a week trying to start a business. The government watches your income as it rises. Finally at some point the government says "Enough! You now have more than you need! There are people out there who did not pursue an education like you did. There are people out there who did not work as hard and as long as you did. There are people out there who did not make the careful choices and take the risks you did. Now you have to be a good neighbor. So we’re going to take some of that money you don’t need and ’spread the wealth’, so to speak."

lol @ OT thinking a black man will win

at least we know from previous years that OT is always wrong, thank god.
He’s leading in the polls right now; I think it’s more likely than you think.

Who his biggest life influences were, or something like that.

To the conservatives & pro-oil republicans:

Posted by bruni on August 28, 2008

Why is it that you love oil so much and want to push so hard to bring in more oil? I don’t see you pushing for alternative energy research and merely state "nuclear is the answer" when it’s plainly clear that it isn’t. So what are you planning on doing when you’ve been pushing oil so hard and it turns out that we won’t have a drop of oil for 10-15 years?
If we’d stop subsidizing damn corn and ethanol so much, maybe alternative energy would move a little faster. Then food prices would start going down and the price of a pizza will be back to normal

China allows you to ‘replace’ your kid that was killed in the quake.

Posted by bruni on August 24, 2008

My God. China is so evil. That government is so bad. I can’t believe how people have sold there souls to the Chinese government.

I mean, what a great bunch of guys. They build the schools so substandard that they fall down in a quake where other shacks are left standing.
Then the government gives you permission to replace your lost valuables (under there one child policy) that you lost in the quake.

That is so fucking wrong.
But I think it paints a pretty accurate picture of how the Chinese government views there citizens. There citizens are commodities. Nothing else.

Doctors oppose US health plan

Posted by bruni on August 18, 2008

The Massachusetts healthcare programme widely seen as a test case for universal health coverage in the US faces mounting opposition from doctors who say the reform is failing.

More than 250 physicians in the state have signed an open letter warning that the healthcare plan, which was signed into law in April 2006 by Mitt Romney, the former Republican governor of Massachusetts, is “already proving fiscally unsustainable”.

Should these illegals receive the backpay or even be allowed to use our court?

Posted by bruni on August 16, 2008

Should these illegal alien have any claim to pay from a job, which more than likely they obtained through fraudulent means, such as using someone else’s SSN?

Should one have the right to the US legal system when your existence in the US is merely as a trespasser?

If they can’t work here legally and he hired them illegally, the owner would/should be fined accordingly whether he wins or not.
Yes - but follow me.

The real crime with illegal aliens is that THEY ARE THE ‘ACCEPTED’ FORM OF SLAVERY.

Are you in favor of a National ID card?

Posted by bruni on August 14, 2008

Then again, we’re Americans so our opinion doesn’t matter.
I personally don’t care, just another ‘drivers license’.

I support it, if it’s opt in, which it’s not, so I don’t. really

thats a very dim view to take

Border Patrol Agent Held at Gunpoint by Mexican Military

Agent Held at Gunpoint by Mexican Military

8-3-08 A Tucson Sector Border Patrol agent was held at gunpoint by the Mexican military last night south of Ajo. Mexican military personnel crossed over the border and pointed rifles at him. Backup units arrived from the Ajo Border Patrol station, and the Mexican military personnel eventually returned to Mexico. Unfortunately, this sort of behavior by Mexican military personnel has been going on for years. They are never held accountable, and the United States government will undoubtedly brush this off as another case of "Oh well, they didn’t know they were in the United States." A few years ago the Mexican military went a step further and put a .50 calibre rifle round through the rear window of a Border Patrol agent’s patrol vehicle south of Ajo. Nothing was ever done. Nobody was ever held accountable. Particularly galling is the fact that the Mexican military often pulls these stunts in Humvees donated to them by the American taxpayers (although they were apparently on foot this time). We note that Border Patrol agents have historically driven worn-out, junk vehicles.

Ludacris Obama Rap and Obama responds

Posted by bruni on August 08, 2008

I’m waiting for Tupac to mention Obama

…or McCain
As Barack Obama has said many, many times in the past, rap lyrics today too often perpetuate misogyny, materialism, and degrading images that he doesn’t want his daughters or any children exposed to,” said spokesman Bill Burton. “This song is not only outrageously offensive to Senator Clinton, Reverend Jackson, Senator McCain, and President Bush, it is offensive to all of us who are trying to raise our children with the values we hold dear. While Ludacris is a talented individual he should be ashamed of these lyrics.”
