How well does Palin have to perform on the debate to be considered a success

on a scale of 1 to 10….

using the scale where would you rank all the candidates (barr, paul etc included)..and past presidents.

10 - politician with encyclopedic knowledge of issues current and historic
09 - politician very proficient with current and historic issues
08 - politician equally good with current and historic issues
07 - politician with good knowledge of current issues..not so good with historic
06 - politician with much better knowledge of the issues

why?

what’s good about her?

She’s pro-life.

She’s fiscally conservative.

She’s fairly libertarian on most issues.

Obviously, there isn’t much known about her in detail, but I think she’s the best pick McCain could have done.

McCain. Obama is a pretentious, out-of-touch elitist. McCain knows the struggles of the working man.
his response to larry king asking him about the new yorker was like, "its a cartoon, thats why we have the first amendment. people have wasted way too much time on this"

It was not the advocates of Capitalism who helped Wilson to whip up a reluctant peace-loving nation into the hysteria of a military crusade. It was the liberal magazine, The New Republic. Its editor, Herbert Crowley, used such arguments as: "The American nation needs the tonic of a serious moral adventure." Just as Wilson, a liberal reformer, led the United States into World War I, to make the world "safe for democracy," so Franklin D. Roosevelt, another liberal reformer, led it into World War II in the name of the "Four Freedoms."
