What is the Obama/Biden position on clean coal?

Posted by bruni on October 09, 2008

does anybody know? i don’t think biden does…

"In the coal country of Castlewood, VA on Saturday, Biden said that instead of John McCain’s tax breaks for oil companies, the United States should be investing billions in clean coal technology. “We have enough coal to meet our needs domestically for the better part of the next 100 200 years,” Biden said. “That can free us from being dependent on foreign oil countries and at the same time not ruin the environment.”

Palin’s AFFIRMATIVE ACTION for Alaskans v. Alaskonomics

Posted by bruni on September 28, 2008

Palin likes to bring up how Alaska supplies 20% of the US’s domestic production. Oddly enough, she taxes possibly $60 or more into the price of a barrel of oil before sending it down the pipeline to us.

She then gives Alaskans a $3200 rebate check from the oil tax revenues. So, as governor, she basically jacks up the price of oil for the rest of America but cuts Alaskans a break by refunding that money to them. What’s the motto for her husband’s old political party….?

Republicans are turning everything around on the Democrats.

Posted by bruni on September 18, 2008

1. Vote for Change. This is now the dominant theme in any McCain reporting.

2. Vote for a Minority. Self Explanatory

3. Calling the other party "Fear Mongers". Whereas the NeoCons and Republicans use fear mongering to gain support for irrational wars, apparently the Dems are now fear mongering in order to stop the destruction of our environment to get oil in Alaska. (???)

Is it possible to end our dependence on foreign oil in 10 years time?

Posted by bruni on September 11, 2008

Our oil production: 8.091 mm barrels per day
Our oil consumption: 19.993 mm barrels per day

What do you think?
Yes, it is possible if Obama is elected and serves eight years

yup our ability to kick the oil habit depends solely on this single factor

Barack Obama’s energy policy STINKS!

Posted by bruni on September 01, 2008

Absolutely no new drilling (even though EVERY other country in the world does it).
No new nuclear plants.
His answer to high gas prices is windfall profits tax. Whatever the fuck that is…sounds like something that will just result in higher prices at the pump.

….and now his most brilliant new solution to the energy problems yet!
