I have yet to meet ONE fucking person who can give me a logical reason to vote for Obama or McCain. So please, enlighten me with your logic.

A vote for Obama = emotional
A vote for McCain = emotional

Obama is educated and knowledgeable about law and the constitution, so he can work on "issues at home" such as the economy, the budget, health care, etc.

Lol at the quiz about tax breaks, isn’t McCains plan to reduce corporation tax to 25% so of course oil companies will benefit but so will every one else, they make it seem it is a specific reduction for oil companies

Also about the leases, why would oil companies pay millions of dollars to lease the land and not explore/develop?
Isn’t that slanderous against Exxon/Mobil?

At the very least, it’s defamation of character, or character assassination. Hell, I wouldn’t want my oil company associated with that dinosaur.

For the past month or so I have noticed that this community lacks any concentration of direct explanations by the posters themselves on their own socioeconomic and political views. I am curious what drives people to hold the beliefs that they do, and was inspired by where the posters there revealed what drives their religious (or non-religious) beliefs.

What I’d like to do is have people just explain a bit about what got them to where they are and what they believe in a more direct fashion, rather than in bits and pieces that show during various debate threads. If you’re not shy, please include some demographic information, a little history of where you grew up, what sort of education you have, and what sort of political environment you were raised in. These sorts of things influence our views, obviously.
