10 - politician with encyclopedic knowledge of issues current and historic
09 - politician very proficient with current and historic issues
08 - politician equally good with current and historic issues
07 - politician with good knowledge of current issues..not so good with historic
06 - politician with much better knowledge of the issues

While reading threads based upon the political theatre that is the U.S. presidential election on this forum, I keep stumbling upon posts that mention ‘how bad’ the economy is, and this thread is meant to educate ME and perhaps others on the subject of what our trillion dollar debt actually means, and what can the candidates do to fix it.
Stop beating around the bush in other threads, I want to know the situation, and both sides’ solutions.
Well right off the bat we all know that trickle down economics does not work.

Rep. Ron Paul, the former Republican presidential candidate who excited a multitude of young voters during the primaries, announced a “major” news conference in Washington Wednesday. With a range of third-party candidates at his side – including the Libertarian Party’s Bob Barr, independent candidate Ralph Nader, the Constitution Party’s Chuck Baldwin and the Green Party’s Cynthia McKinney – it’s unlikely that Paul will pick just one to support. Prime Minister Vladimir Putin was feted by Russian media on Sunday for saving a television crew from an attack by a Siberian tiger in the wilds of the Far East. Putin, taking a break from lambasting the West over Georgia, apparently saved the crew while on a trip to a national park to see how researchers monitor the tigers in the wild. Just as Putin was arriving with a group of wildlife specialists to see a trapped Amur tiger, it escaped and ran towards a nearby camera crew, the country’s main television station said. Putin quickly shot the beast and sedated it with a tranquilizer gun. why would barack obama be friends with someone who bombed the capitol?

I keep hearing how evil Russia is but im curious as to how many civilians died when Georgia attacked? Honestly, dont you guys think if Georgia did something like this to America they would get even worse of a beatdown?

My God. China is so evil. That government is so bad. I can’t believe how people have sold there souls to the Chinese government. I mean, what a great bunch of guys.
