anyone have proof? for my money, they’re about as even and non-partisan as it gets
nbc is much worse, I think they have the most bias neg campaign
i agree with MSNBC being way off the deep end. but NBC itself is very careful about what it does.

come on bros, we’ve only seen one example thus far. most people already know msnbc is a left wing version of fox. i want examples of cnn bias since we keep lumping them in as liberal mainstream media.
I will readily admit that msnbc has become a left leaning station, but they’re nowhere near as far from the center as FOX. FOX News has become a caricature of itself.
There is no malicious lying on MSNBC. Distortions and a distinct lack of a conservative viewpoint, yes. They do not, however, lie through their teeth like fox news and get legitimate journalists to come on(most of the time).
Kieth Ollberman OWNZ!
Ugh.
I can appreciate that Keith Olbermann is incredibly eloquent, and for that reason I enjoy hearing him speak, but he also seems to be an incredible douchebag, so I don’t ever watch him.

More so than O’Reily?
thanks for all the talk of cnn guys, really appreciate it
Oh, god no. The only person on television least deserving of a functioning set of vocal chords than Bill O’Reilly is Sean Hannity, about whom one can never say enough terrible things.
Get fucked
I think CNN tries honestly to keep itself in the middle.
MSNBC is left, FOX is right.
I’d rather watch CNN if I just wanted news.

that’s pretty much how i feel. but if you go through the media bias threads, there’s a lot of talk about it being ok that fox is blatantly right wing because cnn and msnbc are left leaning.
i simply want some proof to backup the statement that cnn is left-leadning.

I agree with this statement. This, coupled with the diversity of staff, and views, makes it the winning station to watch.
cnn has no left bias. they used to before this election season, now they are so self-conscious about bias that they often afford a ‘balanced perspective’ where it is undeserved. fox is easily biased, msnbc as well - both "report" news daily with a sarcastic demeanor…
omg be my BFF

all of the 24/7 news channels are shit.

reading published news > watching someone tell you their opinion of the news
but if you must watch… pbs ftw
what "left wing" bias ? Do they ever talk about the evils of corporatism and capitalism ? Do they ever talk about how great socialism is ? CNN and MSNBC are just pro Democrat, and Fox is pro Republican
I agree that FNC editorials have become rather nonsensical, with the exception of O’Reilly who has actually gotten significantly less bias this election season, but FNC’s news is nowhere near as ridiculous as MSNBC. Hannity is better at putting his views aside than Olbermann.
Final summation: the neoconservatives are better at putting on a straight face when it’s appropriate.

You’re only mentioning their talking heads, though. I think it’s simply the case that right-wing talking heads have run out of ways to spin the Republican party as anything but a clusterfuck. Meanwhile, the left-wing talking heads are having a field day.
If you compare the actual coverage of the two stations, in terms of what stories they select, you’ll see the bias.

when…this is the guy leading the charge on the guilt by association offense against obama…but has never once raised the issue with mccain and the skeletons in his closet.

the thing about punditry is that you don’t have to be right about anything you say, you just have to look sure about yourself when you say it. they don’t get paid by journalistic integrity, they get paid by how many outraged views tune in

Not even I can agree with you there. Fox is pretty wild. But so are the rest of them. Hannity is just getting to the point where hes annoying. You can be deceptive, sly, and cunning and do what he is trying to. Just badgering people makes you look like an ass. O’rly is better at it as are some others. Hannity and Matthews yelling at each other could undo the polarity of the earth
hannity and matthews…meh. olbermann vs o’reilly would be epic
it would be epically entertaining. Hannity and Matthews would just sounds like RABELRABELRABELRABELRABEL, then, like a tuning fork, would split the earth in two
actually, i think they’d yell back and forth for a minute, then start making out with each other
Olbermann is more of a good writer than he is a debater/yeller, so I don’t think it would be all that epic.

i never said it’d be a clash of equal forces, but i’d tivo the clusterfuck…

not rly. i think cnn is a suburb network.

hannity is a joke and his body language is aweful. olbermann is far more eloquent, entertaining, and an overall vastly superior partisan pundit.

I never said that FNC was unbiased. I said that they’re better at hiding their bias. All of the major news networks are biased. I only watch major networks to make a comparative analysis. I certainly don’t watch them because I think any of them are objective news sources.
I think Southpark did a rather superb job of explaining exactly what’s wrong with the news media.
for posterity, the greatest 15 minutes in CNN’s history:

fox is good at hiding bias?
that means jack shit. all cable news channels tell you how to think and much of their content is editorial fluff
Are you commenting on his editorial work or on his work as a news anchor? Do you even know the difference?
No you stupid sack of shit. Learn to read.

i’m surprised nobody has bitched about ac360’s planet in peril yet..
They are. During their news segments.
yeah dude, they’re clearly better than the other networks at hiding bias. you know, like the time ahmadenijad was speaking and the name they showed on screen was "AXIS PREZ"

dumpy is the joe the plumber of OT politics
On news ,
CNN >>> MSNBC > Fox
With an exception being Studio B with Shep Smith.
did you just say shepard smith?
the only redeeming qualities about fox
1. entertaining, much the same way teh wwf was entertaining more for theatrics than sport.
2. julie banderas
3. hilarious fake outrage. YOU ATTACK, I’LL DEFEND!!
