i work for the government…they are trying to cut employee pay by 5 percent through furloughs for 1.5 years.
If they really want to cut payroll, all they need to do is reduce the crazy vacation accrual rates. My wife works for the county and its amazing how much paid time off people around there get.

That’s why Massachusetts recently removed an outdated law that stated that out-of-state couples couldn’t legally marry in MA. Now, California couples can come to MA and marry (they couldn’t a couple of months ago).

a couple of the guys i work with have like 1 year of vacation time. they are being forced to use some of it they have to work out a schedule with the supervisor so they can come up with a schedule to lower their vacation time while not simply taking an entire year off from work
