dot. the only people i’d take a bullet for are my kids (if i had any) or MAYBE my wife (if i had one). i had a girlfriend ask me if i’d sacrifice my life for her and i absolutely refused. i told her i’d offer to flip a coin but that’s the best i could do.

from a genetic perspective there is no benefit to sacrificing yourself for a sibling or parent. when it comes to children its debatable. a post menopausal woman the answer is always yes, the mother should sacrifice herself. it depends on how many more children you can bear. generally since men can sire offspring throughout their entire adult life, the situations where benefit is derived from self sacrifice to protect a child are few.

Right now I think I would because that’s about the worse thing can happen right now. Blacks in America have a different attitude now and something like that could totally reverse it. Why would anyone take a bullet from any president unless you were secret service? They are a politician and protecting them is not my job and we have redundant leadership system. Would I try to stop someone from shooting him? Yes. Would I physically place myself between him and a bullet? Hell no.

that’s a funny thing that i’ve considered before. even if i was hired to be a bodyguard and taking a bullet was in the job description, i still wouldn’t do it. (if it was the president i’d consider it but lets say it’s lindsay lohan or something). whether you take the bullet or not, you lose the job.

or consider those armed guards at banks or wherever who get paid $9 an hour. if there was a robbery i’d drop my gun and run without a second thought .
